The short version
- unbub.dev charges $299 per app for the code, plus a data migration add-on ($49 (up to 10,000 rows), $129 (up to 100,000 rows), $219 (up to 500,000 rows)). It describes the result as a “starting codebase” that you or your developer finish and test.
- deBub charges a fixed price by app size ($490 / $1,290 / $2,990, quote above), with the data copy, hosted preview and security report included, and optional AI assistant plans to keep building.
- If you have a developer who will finish the app anyway, unbub.dev’s lower entry price can be the better fit. If you want to keep building without a developer, deBub is built for that.

02Where unbub.dev is the better fit
- Large apps on a tight budget. $299 per app doesn’t grow with the number of pages; deBub’s price does.
- You already have a developer. If someone will finish and test the code anyway, a starting codebase plus a list of TODOs may be all you need.
- A done-for-you migration. unbub.dev offers one from $3,000, scoped on a call. deBub has no done-for-you service.
- Re-syncing data. unbub.dev says you can “resync anytime — only new rows count toward your limit”.
03Where deBub is the better fit
- No developer. deBub is built for owners who want to keep changing their app by describing what they want; the assistant writes and checks the code.
- Data included, priced up front. The data copy has no row-based fee, and the free scan shows your exact price before you pay.
- See it before you go live. Every app runs in a hosted preview with your data, and comes with a security report.
- Clear terms. The Terms assign the generated code to you, and you can cancel for a full refund until generation starts.
04What neither tool can do
Neither can copy your users’ passwords: Bubble never releases them, so users set a password once after the move (see moving Bubble users). And neither promises a perfect copy — unbub.dev says “100% feature parity is not guaranteed”, and deBub lists every element, workflow or rule that didn’t convert in your app’s report. Read the unbub.dev pricing page for their current offer.
Questions
- Is deBub cheaper than unbub.dev?
- No: unbub.dev publishes $299 per app plus a data add-on, and deBub starts at $490 for apps up to 10 pages. deBub’s price includes the data copy, a hosted preview and a security report; the calculator on our pricing page shows both side by side.
- Do both tools produce Next.js and Supabase?
- Yes. unbub.dev describes a Next.js + Supabase app rebuild from your Bubble export, and deBub compiles your export into a Next.js + TypeScript app with a Supabase database.
- Who owns the code with each tool?
- unbub.dev’s homepage says you own and can edit the source code; its terms don’t address generated code separately. deBub’s Terms assign all rights in the generated code to you once you have paid.
- Can I get a refund?
- unbub.dev’s terms say fees are generally non-refundable, except billing mistakes or where the law requires. deBub refunds in full if you cancel within 14 days before pressing Generate, and if we cannot deliver.
