Plugins

Bubble plugins → code: what each becomes in Next.js

Plugins are the part of a Bubble app that doesn’t come with an obvious code equivalent. These are the ones deBub converts today — 35 completely and 10 in part — and what each becomes in your Next.js app.

How plugins convert

Visual elements
React components drawn from your settings, on the library the plugin wraps where it’s a maintained one.
Inputs
Bind to your data like built-in inputs: “X’s value”, reset and change workflows behave the same.
API and payment plugins
Server-side calls on the official SDK or REST API, with keys in environment variables.
Utilities
Small components or browser helpers that publish the plugin’s own states and events.

Questions

More on how the rest of your app maps: Bubble to Next.js + Supabase.

What happens to a plugin that isn’t on this list?
Its elements get a placeholder of the right size and its actions a marked TODO in the code, and your report lists every one with its location, so it can be finished with the assistant or by any developer. The rest of the app is converted as usual. The free scan shows the status of each plugin in your app before you pay.
What does “partly converts” mean?
Some of the plugin’s elements, actions or events convert and some don’t yet. Each plugin’s page lists what doesn’t, in plain words; where your app uses one of those parts, it is marked in the code and listed in your report.
Are plugin API keys copied?
No. Keys and secrets from plugin settings are removed from your export when it arrives. The generated app reads them from environment variables, listed in .env.example, and server-side plugin calls never send them to the browser.
Do converted plugins still need jQuery or Bubble’s code?
No. Visual plugins become React components — on the library the plugin itself wraps when that’s a maintained one, such as Chart.js, Quill, ApexCharts or Howler — and small jQuery widgets are rewritten as React components.
