01What it becomes

A React component that ships with your app that reads an input as the user types. Instant text publishes an input’s value on every keystroke, instead of when the input loses focus. The generated component does the same and publishes the same value.

No extra npm package: the generated code uses React, Next.js and browser APIs only.

02What converts

  • Instant text element and its value
  • Clear action

03About this plugin

Instant text is made by Airdev (element (non-visual)). Bubble’s plugin marketplace counts 174,684 installs (a cumulative counter). See its page on the Bubble marketplace.

Questions

Does the Instant text plugin work outside Bubble?
Not as it is: Bubble plugins only run inside Bubble. In a Next.js app it is replaced by generated code — A React component that ships with your app that reads an input as the user types.
Will my Instant text settings carry over?
Yes. deBub reads the plugin’s settings, conditions and workflows from your .bubble export and converts all of the plugin’s parts. Secret keys are the exception: you add them as environment variables.
