01What it becomes

A React component that ships with your app: a multi-select with tags. The Multiselect Dropdown (Select2 in Bubble) becomes a React multi-select with the same tag styling — without shipping jQuery. Static and dynamic choices, defaults and limits come from your settings.

No extra npm package: the generated code uses React, Next.js and browser APIs only.

02What converts

  • Static choices and dynamic choices from a data source
  • Default values, placeholder, tagging and selection limit
  • Tag colors, borders and roundness
  • Auto-binding to a field

03About this plugin

Multiselect Dropdown is made by Bubble itself (visual element (input)). See its page in the Bubble manual.

Questions

Does the Multiselect Dropdown plugin work outside Bubble?
Not as it is: Bubble plugins only run inside Bubble. In a Next.js app it is replaced by generated code — A React component that ships with your app: a multi-select with tags.
Will my Multiselect Dropdown settings carry over?
Yes. deBub reads the plugin’s settings, conditions and workflows from your .bubble export and converts all of the plugin’s parts. Secret keys are the exception: you add them as environment variables.
